The presence of licensed teams, leagues, and competitions adds to Football Manager’s already incredible authenticity and realism. 

UEFA’s Club Competitions are new additions, as are player faces, official club logos and first team kits for Manchester City, Juventus and the Belgian Pro League.

Back in September we revealed that in addition to launching on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass from November 8th, we would be making our PS5 debut with the newly renamed FM23 Console.

Football Manager 2023 and Football Manager 2023 Console will launch on Xbox Game Pass from Day One for a second successive year when both titles are released on November 8th.

After nine months and more than 1,100 gruelling miles on the roads and cycle lanes of southern England, our National League South Head Researcher Ryan O’Connell has finally completed his target of cycling to all 21 grounds in the league.

Inspired to be healthier, greener and raise some money for Prostate Cancer UK, Ryan kicked off his challenge last August by travelling to Ebbsfleet United’s Stonebridge Road. He finished this past Saturday with the longest trip of all, a 150 mile trek, split over two days, from his base in Crawley to Twerton Park, the home of Bath City.

The Final Winter Update for Football Manager 2022 is now available for PC/Mac, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch™. This update includes activity from those transfer windows which closed during February, along with database updates and a few further gameplay fixes. There are also a number of gameplay adjustments designed specifically to address the upheaval caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24th.

Making Football Manager is an ongoing quest to create a virtual world which is simultaneously authentic to the real world and also an entertaining escape for our players. This is always a complex challenge, but sometimes it’s made significantly more difficult by real world events. 

This occasionally leads us to a point where we have to make difficult decisions – Brexit and Covid being two recent examples of this – and in these situations we try our best to explain our thinking. 

Our final winter update is normally something of a ‘tidying up’ exercise, where we reflect the transfer activity from those leagues and associations whose transfer windows close later than the majority and fix any minor gameplay issues which may still linger. This year, however, things are very different.
