We’re delighted to announce that Football Manager 2022 is out now across all platforms.
PC and Mac users can download and play FM22 now from Steam, Epic Games and the Microsoft Store. Those of you who’ve been enjoying the FM22 Beta can simply quit and restart the relevant launcher and the game will update to the full release build. All single-player progress made in the Beta will automatically carry forward.
We’re pleased to unveil this season’s FMFC 22 Home Shirt.
To mark the occasion, we're giving away five of them personalised with your name and number, exclusively to FMFC squad members.
The time has arrived – Football Manager 2022 Beta (PC/Mac) is now available to play early on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store.
FM22 Beta is now fully playable* for those who’ve purchased from a SEGA-approved digital retailer. Kick-off your managerial career early or compete against your mates in an Online Career or Fantasy Draft with cross-compatibility between Steam and Epic. As in previous years, any progress made in Career Mode can be carried forwards when your game updates to full release on Tuesday 9th November.
FM22 is still available to pre-purchase, with 10% off and Beta Early Access, at any point before full release. A full list of participating retailers can be found on the SEGA website.
The presence of licensed teams, leagues, and competitions adds to Football Manager’s already incredible authenticity and realism.
Player faces, official club logos and first team kits for Portuguese giants FC Porto, SL Benfica and Sporting CP are new additions, while Latvia’s seven-team top flight, the Higher League, makes its Football Manager debut after they lovingly recreated the league themselves in FM21.
Last month we revealed the historic, headline-grabbing news that Football Manager 2022 (with Xbox Game Pass for PC) and Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition (with Xbox Game Pass for Console) will be available Day One with Xbox Game Pass on November 9th. Like you, we’re counting down the days until you’ll be able to take your seat in the digital dugout.
In the meantime, let’s delve into new features and game upgrades to give you an idea of what you can expect in both FM22 and FM22 Xbox as you work your way to becoming a managerial great.
Football Manager 2022 Mobile is now available for pre-order on the App Store and for pre-registration on Google Play.
Your playing horizons and scouting pool are greatly expanded with the ability to load five nations for the first time in our most global edition yet, available from November 9th.
As you can probably imagine, given what we do and how important data and research is to our games, here at Sports Interactive we use a lot of data to help us make business decisions.
We constantly monitor our roster of games using a process of ‘cost-benefit analysis’ which, simply put, means that we look at how much it costs us to develop, QA and release each separate version, then compare that against the revenue it will bring in (alongside any other benefits or costs it may offer to our business, outside of pure profit and loss).
Sometimes this leads to us having to make difficult business decisions that we know won’t be universally popular, but we have to look at the bigger picture and decide what’s the best for the majority of our players and for us as a studio.
So, today I want to talk about some changes to the formats that we will – and won’t – be releasing Football Manager Touch on this year.
At about this time last year, when I sat down to write a blog about how Sports Interactive and Football Manager were affected by the Covid pandemic, I thought that was going to be a ‘one-off’. But here we are, one year later and Covid is still dominating the global conversation. Thanks to the wonders of science we do have vaccines, which are saving lives and making it easier for people to fight the virus, but there are still far too many cases around the world and it most certainly hasn’t gone away.
To reuse a line I’ve used a lot over the last 18 months… making games is hard, but making games during a pandemic is harder. This is why so many games that we are all waiting to play are still delayed as people try to adjust to working separately from their colleagues, while simultaneously dealing with the multiple productivity issues (both positive and negative) that have arisen from the new way of working and people’s individual circumstances.
Following the successful return of Football Manager to Xbox last year we're delighted to announce that FM22 and FM22 Xbox Edition will be available with Xbox Game Pass from Day One when both titles launch on November 9th.
Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that allows you to play more than 100 high-quality games for a small monthly fee. More information can be found on the Xbox website.
Overcome the odds and earn your success in Football Manager 2022, launching Tuesday, 9th November on PC/Mac.
Following an incredibly successful campaign on Xbox last year, Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition also debuts on 9th November.
For the first time in the history of our series, FM22 and FM22 Xbox will be available with Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC from launch. More information on FM22 Xbox and what playing on Game Pass means for you is available in our dedicated Game Pass announcement.
21 clubs. 21 grounds. 1,000 miles. On a bike.
That’s the challenge Football Manager researcher Ryan O’Connell has set himself this season, as he plans to cycle to every ground in the division, raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK along the way.
Between the opening game this Saturday, August 14th, to the final fixtures on May 7th, Ryan will cover roughly 1,000 miles on his bike, hitting the roads and cycle lanes from Braintree Town and Chelmsford City in Essex to Bath City and Chippenham Town in the west of England.
